September 29th, 2010 - Birdy Coming to Eat You He's coming to eat you... I found this Bird of Prey perched atop a wooden swing set in my back yard yesterday. The Bird Bird Bird, the Bird is the Word. The Bird, The Bird, The Bird is the Word. Don't you know about the Bird? THE BIRD IS COMING TO EAT YOUR BRAINS! August 9th, 2010 - The World I Know My 'hood. Walking down the street this morning to hit the liquor store for a little morning loving and I stumbled past a place that I'd never dare to enter, pictured above. At times I wonder why I live here, especially since I don't drive and the entire city is a roller coaster ride through hell. But all it takes is a walk in the brisk sea air at night to remind me why I love this city; the excessive number of transvestite prostitutes don't hurt either. August 3rd, 2010 - Bonsai and the Hole in the Universe Bonsai has always been lost on me. Many generations ago, like five years or so, I was into the whole Bonsai tree sculpting and rock garden thing. Yes, I was a hipster (I still am, despite my best efforts), but I was a hipster with inner peace. I was even a member of a local Bonsai society, you know the ones that are full of individuals that are over eighty years old, and me of course. I'd never felt more japanese in my life, which is good because I'm not japanese, but when I was in the presence of those enlightened Bonsai practitioners, I felt like I could do a kamikaze dive into a harbored ship with the best of them. So yeah, that lasted about a week or so. |
