Another Man's War
"When we look at modern man, we have to face the fact that modern man suffers from a kind of poverty of the spirit which stands in glaring contrast to his scientific and technological abundance. We've learned to fly the air like birds, we've learned to swim the sea like fish, and yet we haven't learned to walk the earth as brothers and sisters." – Martin Luther King, Jr.
God's Supreme Justice. Throughout the years wars have been fought on misplaced ideals; Greed, Envy, Inflated Egos, Religious Persecution, Religious Righteousness, Hate, and countless other reasons. War has destroyed great cultures, ruined the lives of billions of people, and pushed back social and technological improvements since the beginning of time. Imagine a world where the population can exist without war, without wanton battle, without the meaningless slaughter of the innocent.
War would be a great idea, that is, if all the parties involved in the war actually agreed on what was being fought over, and more than that, if they all agreed to fight at all. They say that wars are fought by a select group of men and women that choose to defend their country from oppression and persecution; Bullshit. Wars are most often fought by men and women who never had a choice if they would fight or what they would fight for; they are forced to fight for ideals and egos that they never believed in or agreed with. And why do they fight? Fear. They fear what might happen to their livelihood, to their family's well being, fighting because they are afraid that the enemy that their leader has brought into their lives may slaughter their children because they weren't there to stop them.
Hapless pawns fighting a war driven by the power-hungry egos of dictatorial leaders of the nations of the world. Many American citizens take for granted that our military service is voluntary, that we at least have a choice of whether we are going to be part of the Government's chess game or not. Many countries do not have voluntary military service though, many countries force their citizens to fight against an enemy they do not hate and do not want to kill; the bad part is, many of these countries have leaders that do not care about who lives or dies in their army, as long as it can still continue to fight for his own gain.
Today's world can never be without war, but it's a nice thought, isn't it? To live in a world where people can coexist without wanting to kill each other just because they have differing beliefs, or Gods or skin colors. To live in a world where the egos of two men couldn't cause the so-called justifiable death of millions of innocent people who are just trying to defend their right to continue living. To live in a world where families would not be left in poverty and mourning because their members were killed while being forced to fight for a sadistic leader. To live in a world that is truly free of fear. It's a nice dream, isn't it? Now if all the people who supposedly support it would have the conviction to bring such a dream into reality...

About the Author:
The Author of this site is a man living in denial about the notion that there is anyone intelligent enough to have a conversation with anymore, so he writes to his computer instead.
To summarize, he writes and rants and makes shit up.
